Seeing a doctor is uncomfortable enough without also struggling to understand what you're being told. Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud La Porte opened on Spencer Highway with that in mind: any Hispanic family in the area should be able to describe their symptoms in Spanish, understand the diagnosis and leave with a plan they can follow at home.
Where and when we're open
The clinic is at 9606 Spencer Hwy, Suite D, La Porte, TX 77571, with free parking. We open early and close late so you don't have to miss work: 9 in the morning to 9 at night, Monday through Saturday; 9 to 7 on Sundays. There's no need to book; you come in, check in and the medical team sees you. If you'd rather speak English, we can help you in English too.
Who we see
We're a general and family medicine clinic: children, teens, adults and older adults all come to us. We don't ask for insurance, and if you want to know what a service costs before you're seen, just ask at the front desk and we'll tell you clearly.
What you can take care of here
Under one roof we handle what families in La Porte and nearby ask for most:
- Sick visits: flu, cough, sore throat and other respiratory infections.
- Blood work at our lab, with quick results we walk you through in Spanish.
- The I-693 exam for your green card case, signed by a civil surgeon designated by USCIS. Our immigration exams page has the details.
- DOT physical for CDL drivers, described on our DOT exam page.
- Women's health: basic gynecology visits, Pap tests and birth control.
- Ongoing care for chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol, under chronic conditions.
- Supporting tests: EKG and ultrasound.
- Vaccines, wound care and minor procedures.
What your first visit looks like
- Come in whenever it suits you during open hours.
- At the front desk we take your details and the reason for your visit, in Spanish.
- The clinic's medical team examines you, asks questions and, if needed, orders lab work or tests.
- You hear what's going on, which treatment comes next and when to come back.
What matters to us
We want you to leave knowing what's wrong and what to do about it. That means taking time to answer your questions, using plain language and treating you with respect, whether you came in for a cold or for an exam for your immigration paperwork.
Come meet us
If you live in La Porte, Deer Park, Pasadena, Shoreacres or Morgan's Point, we're only minutes away. Walk in without an appointment or call (346) 222-1006 with any question before your visit.
